The Story So Far...
Katie started making peanut butter in June 2013 in a cottage in Wiltshire when she couldn't find a peanut butter that tasted how she thought it deserved to taste. The peanut butters in the existing market were either full of environmentally damaging palm oil, sugar and additives or tasted of cardboard. Katie always believed in eating a whole foods plant based diet so she set about making a peanut butter that existed of just two simple quality ingredients- Freshly roasted nuts & Himalayan Rose salt. Utta Nutta was created-The nuttiest peanut butter around.
Katie started selling at local markets and food fairs then shops became interested and the repeat orders just kept on coming.
As Peanut butter started to take over the family home, Katie moved into a commercial kitchen, where she continues making her peanut butter in the traditional way- That's why it tastes so good. Her son George, who has grown up besides Utta Nutta is also now involved with the business.
About Utta Nutta
Utta Nutta will change the way you feel about peanut butter. It is made slowly from freshly roasted peanuts, which are milled whilst still warm. No oils are needed as they come naturally from the warm nuts. This process retains the natural sweet nutty flavour without the need for added sugar. The result is a really surprising munch in your mouth.
Available in "Original" and "Extra Crunchy", both varieties of peanut butter have won 2 Gold Stars each at Great Taste Awards 2017 & 2018 as well as also winning Golds at Taste of The West Awards. Katie has now developed a cashew nut butter, also dark roasted and completely delicious which has also won 2 stars at Great Taste awards.
